Stephen Appiah turns down GFA’s appointment to serve as member of Black Stars management committee

Ex-Ghana captain, Stephen Appiah has reportedly turned down the opportunity to serve as a member of the Black Stars management committee.

According to sources, the the celebrated former Ghana international wants to focus on other things for now and hence his decision to turn down the offer from the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

In the past, Stephen Appiah was part of the Black Stars technical team. Although the team could not enjoy success, he is often lauded for his role in the dressing room.

Many believe his leadership quality is needed to help the national team in various capacities.

Unfortunately, he is just not ready to serve as a management committee member.

Sources say the Ghana FA is continuously engaging Stephen Appiah and looking to convince him to accept the appointment.
