The Nigeria game will be difficult for Ghana - Dan Quaye

Dan Quaye has openly stated that his country, Ghana, would struggle to defeat Nigeria’s Super Eagles in order to qualify for the World Cup.

Dan Quaye, who played for Hearts of Oak for a long time, believes that selecting debutants for such a game is pointless.

He also questioned how long the GFA and the Black Stars Technical Team take to declare the team for the playoffs against Nigeria.

The Ghana Football Association has instead released a timeline for the playoff game against Nigeria on March 25.

“It is first in history Ghana has kept long to release Black Stars squad for a game. There’s no understanding. Maybe is because of the new coach and let’s see what he will do.” Quaye told Ghanasportspage.com

“We must say the truth. The Nigeria game will be difficult for us because giving call-ups to debutants is something else. The European football is different and the Nigeria squad have played at the AFCON and even some of their newcomers have played ones in the recent AFCON. It will be difficult for the debutants on how to play on the pitch that’s why we insist calling the experience players will help than the individuals,”

“Why, are competing in Monday Stars?” he asked.
