VIDEO: Watch Antoine Semenyo’s goal for Bristol City against relegated Derby County
Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo scored his seventh goal of the season for Bristol City against relegated Derby County at Pride Park on Saturday afternoon in the English Championship.
Andreas Weimann, an Austrian international, scored after only 10 minutes, coolly sending the ball past Ryan Allsopp in the Rams’ goal in a one-on-one situation.
Semenyo extended Bristol City’s lead before halftime, but Craig Forsyth headed a goal back for Derby.
Bristol City’s defender Timm Klose then sealed the victory with a header from a set piece, limiting Derby to only their fourth home defeat this season.
Semenyo had a fantastic game against Derby County and was able to enjoy it till the final whistle at Pride Park.
So far this season, he has seven goals and 10 assists in 30 appearances for Bristol City.
He was named EFL Championship Player of the Month in January 2022 after scoring three goals and assisting three.
