Ampem Darkoa Ladies beat Hasaacas Ladies on penalties at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.
The victory means Ampem Darkoa Ladies have booked a ticket for the next edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League.
Hasaacas Ladies were defeated by their opponents in a penalty shootout 5-3 after being held to a 1-1 tie for the duration of the game plus thirty minutes at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Hasaacas Ladies, the former champions, grabbed the lead in the 19th minute from a penalty kick by Success Ameyaa.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies also equalized with a penalty kick, which was easily executed by Comfort Yeboah in the 26th minute.
Last season, the Women’s Premier League sides battled for the title, but Hasaacas Ladies won the final 4-0 to represent Ghana in Africa.
Hasaacas Ladies represented Ghana at the final of the maiden TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League last season against Mamelodi Sundowns.
