We will not risk Daniel Kofi Kyereh against Darmstadt – St. Pauli coach Timo Schultz
St. Pauli coach, Timo Schultz has confirmed that playmaker, Daniel Kofi Kyereh will miss their game against Darmstadt on Saturday.
The Ghana international who has been a key figure for the Bundesliga II side has been out of injury for weeks now.
With Pauli hosing Darmstadt at Millerntor-Stadion, Schultz confirmed that the 25-year-old returned to training this week but will not feature this weekend.
“There is actually some good news. James Lawrence and Luca Zander are back in full training. We have a large selection for the weekend,” says Schultz.
“Daniel-Kofi Kyereh (26) is also slowly coming back. On Monday, the midfield magician only worked individually, mostly just running. On Tuesday, the Ghanaian international took part in the first loose part of the team session. Wednesday was free and we continued on Thursday.
“We’re not going to take any risks. We’ll try everything out in training today and I think we’ll make a decision today as to whether it makes sense for the weekend or not,” he added.
Kofi Kyereh has featured 29 times for the club and has scored 12 goals in all competitions.
