A 29-year-old from Texas, USA, has been jailed for spending Covid-19 relief aid on luxury.
Lee Price III spent $1.6 million aid awarded him by the United States government’s Paycheck Protection Programme on lavish goods like a sports car, a Lamborghini Urus, Rolex watch, and real estate.
The young man again got for himself an F-350 pickup truck and thousands of dollars at Houston strip clubs.
US Justice Department’s Investigations
A statement from the US Justice Department said Lee Price used the names of two companies: Price Enterprises Holdings and 713 Construction to allegedly receive more than $900,000, and $700,000, respectively, to pay workers of his two businesses.

Investigations, however, have revealed that Mr. Price never had any employees neither was he the owner of 713 Construction.
“The individual listed as CEO on the 713 Construction loan applications died in April 2020, a month before the application was submitted,” the statement said.
He was charged for fraud by the Justice Department and jailed on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, after US authorities arrested him for using $1.6 million in pandemic aid to go on a spending spree.
