EMY 2021: Ibrahim Mahama wins first ever award in Ghana

Vida Essel-LampteyGhanaian businessman and Founder of Engineers and Planners, Mr Ibrahim, Mahama has won his first ever award in Ghana.
The 50 years old business tycoon and brother of former President of Ghana, Mr John Dramani Mahama was adjudged the Magnet Award receiver at the 2021 Exclusive Men of the Year Award(EMY Africa Awards) held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra on October, 23.
The award was in recognition of his economic contribution to the development of Ghana through job creation and investment.
It was also to honour him for his contribution in the areas of mentorship and philanthropic activities in the country.
Speaking on behalf of Mr Mahama at the event monitored by GhanaPlus.com, a representative of the company said this was the first ever award received in their home country despite many others won across boundaries.
“I think Engineers and Planners and Mr Ibrahim Mahama have come a long way. Over the last how many years of Engineers and Planners this is the first award we are receiving in Ghana though we have received others internationally”.
“ I think the Ghanaian public, all we hear about is bad publicity, at least for once we have very positive publicity to Engineers and Planners” a gentleman introduced by Mr Mahama as Majid said.
Profile Ibrahim Mahama
Mr Ibrahim Mahama is the Founder and Chief Executive of Officer of Engineers and Planners, a leading mining and construction firm in West Africa.
His business was first established in Ghana in 1997 and currently have offices in Ghana and Liberia.
The company ‘s services spans across, mining, construction & civil works, heavy duty equipment hiring and consulting services.
Engineers and Planners host about 1, 700 employees currently out of which 3000 are from Ghana.
Apart from, the construction and mining, Mr Mahama also owns Asutsuare Poultry Farms and Dzata Cement Limited, a fully Ghanaian own cement factory in Tema.
