Teachers must be more friendly to students with disability

The Social Development Officer of the Social Welfare Department of Twifo Atti-Morkwa District in the Central Region has called on teachers to be more friendly and compassionate to children with impairments whom they teach alongside the regular children in the various schools.

Madam Nana Yaa Anim acknowledged that handling such children can be very problematic, however, it is the responsibility of the teachers to treat them with a great deal of patience.

She also urged teachers to position children with visual and hearing impairments in the front role of the class for them to fully participate in the teaching and learning activities in the classroom.
