Easter celebration in northern region.

Abukari Alhassan BabaAlthough Northern Region is an Islam dominated, some section of the muslim community members support christians friends to climaxed Easter celebration at Kamina barracks with fun fair.
It is a festival that brought family, friends and many others to gather up for meals, fun fair and celebration where the best food in the locality would be save to members. After given the food for lent, many indulge in what they have had abstained from, with chocolate a popular choice.
The festivities begins on April 2, 2023 that is known as palm Sunday. The most important days that fellow are Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and climax on Easter Sunday and Monday.
The Director of Social Communication at the Holy Cross Parish catholic Church in Tamale, Reverent Father Joseph N. O. Sackey said it is a week celebration that come with activities to recall what were done during the era of Juses Christ and renew their fate.
The activities include palm Sunday which is also known as passion Sunday where the Catholic faith would be looking for palm oil to prepare food or anything that deal with Palm oil, these is to mark the moment Juses entered Jerusalem to begin his suffering and death which end up with resurrection.
Farther Sackey stated that the Priest with his heads come together to pray and consecrated oils of baptism, creasm and anointing the sick and also renewed the vows of obedience, chastity to live wholeheartedly.
He added, Maundy Thursday commemorates the Washing of the Feet and the Last Supper Juses took at Jerusalem before his crucifixion.
God has given the priest the power at the audiation to spoke on break and wine with the spirit of Juses Christ to feed the disciples he met in Jerusalem, “it is only the priest God has given power to spoke on bread and wine to change it to the blood of Jesus to feed his disciples,” he said.
The crucifixion of Jesus is marked on Good Friday and Holy Saturday, also known as Joyous Saturday, is when preparations for Easter Sunday are made.
The triduum Jesus Christ went through finally resulted into death on the holy cross at Jerusalem, these support christians to withstand a moment of betrayal, envy, denial and jealousy, farther Sackey stated.
He indicated that, easter sunday commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ where they would gather in Church to thank Juses for dying on the holy cross for the sins of his disciples.
All the activities would climax on picnic day at Kamina barracks with joyous celebration with friends and families, these attract the sharing of food, drink meat among others. “There would be games like swimming, basketball, volleyball it include other religious bodies to show love and appreciate what Juses has done for them.”
The relevant of the Easter celebration is to remember what Juses Christ has gone through to be forgiven by God and commanding him to die for the sins of his disciples, “we celebrate and hoping to be forgiven the way Juses Christ was forgiven” he added
