He says as of March 2023, the total number of pupils enrolled under the programme was Eleven Thousand Four Hundred and Twenty-Two (11,422), and their quest is to build an equitable society in which the productive capacities of the people tapped for development will come to nought
if pupils are not given sound, meaningful and relevant education.
He added almost all areas with caterers have been paid up to the First Term of the 2023 Academic Year, with the 2023 Second Term Academic Year still outstanding.
He said, “As of March 2023, the total number of pupils enrolled under the programme was Eleven Thousand Four Hundred and Twenty-Two (11,422), which comprised of Five Thousand Eight Hundred and Ten (5,810) Females and Five Thousand Six Hundred and Twelve (5,612) Males. “Also, the feeding grant has been increased from GH₵1.00 to GH₵1.20p per pupil. We have been embarking on periodic monitoring exercises to check the quality of food served to our pupils for the success of the programme.”
He said, the Assembly received One Thousand (1,000) Dual Desks from the Ministry of Education through the lobbying of the Honorable Members of Parliament for Effia and Kwesimintsim and distributed them to all public basic schools within EKMA.
“As part of efforts to address the deficits of furniture in our schools. The education of our young ones continues to be at the heart of the Government’s agenda for development. As such, we would remain
committed to ensuring that each school obtains its fair share of the national cake,” he added.

round in April and 2,766 doses were administered in June 2023.
