An automobile collision involving a Mercedes Sprinter and a 35-seat Hyundai bus near Ahenkofie on the Kojokrom route in the Sekondi-Takroadi Metropolis, however, marked the terrible beginning of the new year in 2023.
One of the witnesses told Skyy News that the Mercedes Sprinter passed them while travelling at high speed in the direction of Takoradi. The next thing he realized was that the stated automobile and the Hyundai bus had been involved in an accident.
The Asofan Assemblies of God Church owns the Hyundai bus with the license plate GT 4481 – 22, while the Sprinter bus had a Republic of Liberia registration number, LB-b11992.
According to the witness, 4 persons are believed to be dead and 3 are in critical condition. The Sprinter bus was where most of the fatalities occurred, while the majority of the passengers in the Hyundai bus were safe.
