Former Blackstars captain, Asamoah Gyan has revealed he is among government delegation currently in Dubai for the Dubai Expo 2020.

He made the revelation in an Instagram post sighted by GhanaPlus.com on Wednesday, March 9.

According to him, it is a great experience for him to be able to represent Ghana in a different capacity to woo investors to the country.

Sharing the information on his Instagram page he wrote;

“ Joined the Ghana Contingent at the Dubai Expo 2020 led by the President of the Republic @nakufoaddo . It was a great experience as I represented my Country in a different capacity as we woo more investors into the Country #LoveGhana #ExperienceGhana #SeeGhana

The post was accompanied with pictures of him and the Minister of Trade, Allan Kyeremanteng, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Akwesi Agyemang and some participants at the expo.

 

Akufo-Addo lead delegation to Dubai Expo 2020

The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday, led a seven (7) member delegation to Dubai for the Dubai Expo 2020, a world expo held annually to create opportunities for investors, showcase the best countries could offer in the areas of investment, job creation, tourism, etc forge partnerships, inspire ground breaking solutions for key industries world-wide among many others.

Scheduled to take place from October 1 to March 31, the 2020 edition was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic which hit the world in December 2019.

The name Dubai Expo 2020 was however, maintained for branding and marketing purposes.

While there, the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will deliver a statement on ‘Ghana Day’, hold bilateral talks on matters of mutual interest with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and participate in a Business Forum under the auspices of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC).

He will also hold meetings with other investors interested in doing business in Ghana.
