Drama in Shama as light mysteriously goes off during counting
There was drama in the Shama New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency election on Thursday, April 28, as the light mysteriously went off during the counting of votes.
Luckily, it seems some of the candidates had a hint or knew the light would go off during the counting so they came along with touch lights to assist in the process.
However, according to what was witnessed, voting was peaceful with a heavy security presence led by the Western Regional Police Commander.

Chairman – Kwame Tawiah – Unopposed
NASARA Coordinator – Issah Abubakar – 371 votes
Second Vice – Ebenezer Cudjoe – 413 votes
Secretary – Francis Biney – 371 votes
Treasurer – Precious Ackon – 323 votes
Organiser – Thomas Kwasi Holison – 335 votes
Youth Organiser – Francis Kofi Quarm – 380 votes
Women’s Organiser – Emelia Millicent Aikins – 500 votes
