School Junction to PTC Roundabout road has been closed due to the construction of a three-tier interchange.
Some drivers and shop owners expressed dissatisfaction even though they were notified prior to the closedown.
Speaking to some drivers on Skyy Power 93.5FM, they indicated that they were notified the road will be closed down and were educated on parts that will be blocked, however, the authorities did not abide by the time given and blocked the road without any further notice.
According to them, the move by the authorities has affected business because it was impromptu since they did not block the road on the stipulated date.
Speaking to some shop owners, they expressed dissatisfaction about the blockage of the road and said it will slow down their business, this is because most cars that used that part of the road purchased from them.
They also revealed that the reconstruction of the road will enhance transportation and develop the city so they are looking forward to that.
According to reports, the closure will last for 3 months.
