Mr Abdul Issah Mumin, the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) says they will provide 100 street lights for every constituency in the Western Region.
Speaking on Skyy Power 93.5FM’s Jolly Breakfast Show on Monday, December 14, he indicated there have been several complaints by residents of the Region concerning the absence of street lights making the cities dark.
Following this issue, Mr Abdul Mumin says his attention has been drawn to that problem and that by the end of the year, they are going to provide every constituency with 100 street lights to lighten up the region.
He also said there have been other proposals to procure about 6,000 street lights for the metropolis.
“The 100 street lights for each constituency has been procured and per the information, I am having, they are in and will be available by next week.
“We have further made another proposal to procure about 6000 street lights for the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis and they will be in soon,” Mr Mumin said.
