Every important project in Sek-Tadi was implemented by NPP

All important projects in Sekondi-Takoradi were implemented by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the Western Regional Minister has said.

Dr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah speaking at a sod-cutting ceremony to begin the construction of 4 projects in the Effia-Kwesimintsim municipality under the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Program (GSCSP) said the NPP has a history of implementing the best and the most important projects for the people of Sekondi-Takoradi.

He said, “In fact, if you know the history of the NPP, there has not been any important implementation in the city without it being the handwork of the NPP.”

“When I was the Finance Committee chairman in STMA, there were many important projects we did in EKMA, including the Effia storm drain, Komkompe road, and the GSCSP.”

The Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah also commended the two Members of Parliament and the MCE for their hard work during the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Program (GSCSP) last year. He pledged his support to ensure that the projects are carried out successfully.

Dr Prince Hamid Armah the MP for Kwesimintsim addressing the media, mentioned some of the projects which include the construction of a culvert at Bankyease with a 500m storm drain and the construction of a two-storey fifty -seven unit lockable shops with four offices and the paving of Kwesimintsim lorry station and said the project comes in different phases.

He added that the project when completed would bring relief to the people and ensure that the perennial flooding situation in his constituency becomes a thing of the past.
