The Member of Parliament (MP) for Effia Constituency who doubles as the Minister for Public Enterprises, Mr Joseph Cudjoe, advises delegates to give deaf ears to negative campaign messages about him.
According to him, his opponents are purporting that he has deprived the constituency of development since he assumed office as the MP for the constituency.
He says these messages are false and must be disregarded as his projects can be seen in every part of the constituency.
Mr Cudjoe further indicated that some projects were even funded from his funds.
He said, “How can constituency executives stand before the party office to tell delegates I have done nothing for the constituency? A party office that I bought the land and built the structure myself?.”
“Delegates and constituents can see for themselves ongoing projects in the constituency, I have secured contracts for the district assembly, there are ongoing road projects and I will be cutting sod for the construction of the third astroturf on Friday, January 19, and I have secured a contract for the construction of a fourth astroturf at Tamsco.”
“With all these, if you tell delegates I have done nothing in the constituency, then you are being ungrateful.”
Mr Cudjoe indicated that he does not publicise his achievements, the reason his opponent is taking advantage of this situation.
“I’m not a politician because I don’t publicise my work, unlike some politicians who will make the whole world know about their achievement.”
“I have done so many things in the constituency that I don’t do sod cutting or commissioning because I’m doing it for the people and not for popularity.”
