GNAT condemns GES for interdicting Fijai SHS Headmaster – Skyy Power FM

The Western Regional General Secretary of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has condemned the decision by authorities to interdict the Fijai Senior High School Headmaster over the alleged collection of illegal fees.

According to Mr Boadu Abedi William, the Ghana Education Service (GES) should make use of its regional directors to investigate matters when allegations are made against school authorities either than interdicting them before investigation.

He said, “The interdicting of Headmasters is a measure the GES is using the tame these authorities and is not a good approach they are using, this will have a psychological effect them. There are categories of misconducts and sanctions and when issues like this happen, they must apply them but not just interdict them.”
