Humanity first USA and Ghana train medical practitioners at Daboase Ahmadiyya Hospital

A two-day workshop on the effective use of ultrasound and general surgical service has been organized for medical officials at the Ahmadiyya Hospital at Daboase in the Wassa East District.

It was organized by Humanity first a Global NGO unit of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission that offers humanitarian service in areas of education, health, sanitation and youth development.

A group of surgeons from the Northwestern University USA took participants on the modern use of Ultrasound machines.

The Division Head of the Humanity first Volunteer Group USA, Professor Fizan Abdullah told Skyy Power 93.5FM that it is part of their humanitarian services and they expect that health delivery will not be the same at the facility after the training.

“I have been here so many times and I must say that the hospitality of Ghanaians is beyond measure,” he said.
Mr Fizan Abdullah observed that Ghanaians have what he called outstanding health officials and with a little improvement of health facilities he has no doubt that quality health service will be delivered.

Medical Director of Humanity first Ghana Dr Majeed Alhassan said the Doctors chose the facility in line with the global mission to Ghana.

He said it is a skill transfer program that started over a decade.

These are highly trained Doctors who are here to train our health professionals on the operation of Ultrasound other equipment for surgery, the medical doctor said.

The Doctors also donated some medical and surgical supplies worth 60,000 dollars to the Ahmadiyya hospital.
