I will sue self-styled chief Nana Nyonwah Panyin IV for defamation

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Tarkwa-Nsuem Municipality Mr Benjamin Kesse is intending to sue Nana Nyonwah Panyin IV for defamation.

Mr Kesse speaking on the Jolly Breakfast Show (JBS) on Tuesday, October 11, said Nana Nyonwah Panyin IV in an interview with Joy News accused him, the Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah and the Deputy Lands Minister Goerge Mireku Duker for being involved in illegal mining in Dompin-Pepesa.

The self-styled chief of Dompim-Pepesa Nana Nyonwah Panyin IV said he has incontrovertible evidence of their involvement in the activity in the area.

According to Mr Kesse, he does not know what Nana Nyonwah Panyin IV who also turns out to be his cousin seeks to achieve with this allegation.

He added that Nana Nyonwah Panyin IV must prove to Ghanaians that indeed he and the two ministers are involved in galamsey activities by bringing out hardcore evidence to support his claims.

He said, “The way forward is that I am going to court on this matter and if he brings out evidence that proves I am involved in galamsey, Ghanaians can crucify me on that but if he fails to provide evidence, then we will know the importance and relevance of credibility.”
