I won’t accept Finance Minister role from Akufo-Addo– Ken Thompson

The Chief Executive Officer of Dalex Finance, Mr Ken Thompson has said he will not accept the position of a Finance Minister if he is offered by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
According to him, there are qualified persons who can hold the position better them him adding that he is not interested.
“No, I won’t, am not interested, and honestly am not interested I don’t want to be drawn into it. Am not interested, am not interested, am not interested, am totally not interested,” Mr Thompson said.
He made the comment on Face to Face on Citi TV on Tuesday, November 1, monitored by GhanaPlus.com.
“I will say Mr President, I will call you later. I think you have more qualified people that can do the job better,” he said when asked what his responds will be if the President offered him the Finance Minister position.
“ There are better qualified people who understand the dynamic better than I do. Maybe, I have been able to articulate it in the way the people have understood and one thing that I am very proud of is that now when the politicians speak economic, they make sure that we understand. It was never like that,” Mr Thompson insisted.
The renowned Financial Analyst said his concern is about policies that will turn the country’s economic fortunes around not who occupy the Finance Minister position but he will not accept that position.
Mr Thompson blamed the country’s woes on indiscipline.
