Northern radio awards 4th edition launch in my Tamale.
Flawless Creation Consult has launch the fourth edition of Northern Radio Awards to award best radio presenters in the five northern regions.
Talking on the content on the previous third edition which was done on last year a lot of challenges were identified and have to be corrected on the fourth edition to prevent misunderstanding during the awards concerning number of voting and content presented to judges to listen and award marks.
Speaking on the theme, Radio, the truth herald voicing with authenticity the northern story, the chief executive officer Naa kwaley, indicate that before a radio station is qualified to be part of the award must be one year on operation and a nominee should be eighteen months on a console it does not matter the number of radio stations he or she work with.
The categories would be shortlisted to twelve (12) to fifteen (15) per nomination which will be followed by the selection of twelve
(12)nominations by the regional board and electoral college would have to select two (2) nominees from the shortlisted that would be presented.
Stations with no recordings will not qualify for the voting Categories
but the will only qualified to participate in all activities including trainings, celebrations, online competitions, merit awards and awards night.
Judging and qualifications scheme for the stations will be, a radio station should at least be a minimum of one year in operation, complete program cycle, complete organizational structure and the station should be registered with National Media Commission.
All stations are required to promote the event.
The following activities were planned as part of the awards scheme and the schedule is as follows, radio discussions from October to December, cooking competition for male presenters across the five northern region, training of media personnel in November follows by voting which will be in forty (40) day starting from November to December and the awards night will come on December, 2022.
Relevant information to actions and decisions regarding the scheme would be communicated through the
management or persons appointed by management to be relayed to staff of the stations this is to prevent
miscommunication among participants stations and potential.
Participants stations are free to pull out but must be done in written form and explanations the reasons to the staff of northern radio awards.
Any station that found to be indulging in any form of bribery and corruption would be disqualified with immediate effect.
