Twenty Six Assembly members across the district has earlier today October 27,2023 during their general meeting rejected the Assembly 2024 budget and adjourned the meeting.
According to the members, the reasons for their decision are, Abandon of Assembly ongoing projects in the district, Non payment of ex-gracia to former assembly members, Abanding of broken assembly and GES vehicles among other things.
This according to them has angered them since above reasons appears in all their assembly resolutions .
They further called on the management to as a matter of urgency put their concerns and resolutions into actions.
Krachi Nchumuru District is one of the youngest district’s created out from Volta Region in 2012.
The District is dominated by farmer’s . They cultivate Yams, Maize, and others crops for Commercial and domestic purposes.
The district has over the past decades served as food basket for the country.
