Oti Regional Coordinating Council In Collaboration with National Youth Authority Host The British High Commissioner To Ghana.

Abukari Alhassan BabaThe Oti Region Directorate of National Youth Authority in collaboration with the Regional Coordinating Council hosted the British High Commissioner to Ghana.
Among other activities that took place was the open forum with the Youths on issues of drug/substance abuse and youth unemployment within the Oti region. The event took place at Dambai College of Education (DACE) auditorium between the hours of 7pm and 9:30pm on Wednesday 23rd day of November.
The program witness some great and notable personalities within the Oti Region and the team from the British High Commissioner. Some of which are the Regional Minister Hon. Dr. Joshua Gmayenam Makubu, the Regional Coordination Director, Regional Planning Director, Regional National Youth Director Mr. John Thasun, Assistant Headmaster of Academic of Yabram Community Day School, Authorities of Dambai College Of Education, Youth Employment Agency Municipal Coordinator Hon. Bebaye and National Youth Authority Municipal Coordinator for Krachi East Mr. Bismark Kwesi Asare.
Hon. Dr. Joshua Makubu, address the audience after the speech from one of the members of the British High Commissioner on their reason for coming to the region and it been first of its kind from the commission. The Minister, spoke about the importance of the High Commissioner presence and asked the youth to be more practical with their issues on the topics to be discussion than book theories they know.
The floor was opened to the youths to discuss on the various topic given out; that is youth unemployment and drug/substance abuse. The youth spoke about the causes, effects and solutions on the topics.
The British High Commissioner said she was pleased with the way the youths avail themselves for the program and she and his team has taken notices of some of the things said by the youths and she would work with his government and see the best way to address some of the things.
The Regional Director, National Youth Authority thanked all the authorities for honoring the call to be present at this odd hours and pleaded with them to always partake in all youth activities around them.
