Partnership for poverty reduction in collaboration with Moroccan embassy set to implement skills development training-Deputy CEO.

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer for a Non-governmental organization, Partnership for poverty reduction (PPR), Alhassan Andani has revealed that the founder who double as the member of Parliament for Yendi constituency with the CEO are set to collaborate with the Moroccan embassy in the country to implement vocational skills development to the youth.

The skills development training is to give professional training to beneficiaries base on training on artisanal and vocational skills to the youth in Yendi and Dagbon.

The recognized Morocco as one of the best educational co-operation as a country for craftsmanship enhancement and others.

Speaking on Gbewaa Radio Lahabali churi Saha he indicated that the organization has also touch on other aspects that the communities are lacking behind as compared to the southern part which are Health, education, women empowerment and agriculture.

The organization was found in 2018 with the aim of helping and empowering the youth with the necessary skills needs.

On the aspect of health, eye screening and hepatitis B test exercise were carried out in the municipality and some people from other municipals that head of the exercise took part.

Also the organization has established an educational fund to support brilliant but needy students in the society which many has already benefited from. “This educational fund doesn’t matter who you are and doesn’t consider party colours as many may think it is”.

Moreover, the trained women in skill development like soap and pomade making, distributed sewing machines to some women to aid them in their skills.

On July 4, 2022 the founder and CEO distributed farm inputs to Women farmers in the eastern corridors. Some of the farm inputs that have been given out to the woman include Knapsack Sprayers, Weedicides, pesticides, Wellington boots, and Cutlasses.

This initiative is to empower and increased rural woman participation in agriculture in other to eradicate poverty in our communities.

The organization is set to modernize agriculture in the future for women.
