The United Nations and Kofi Annan collaborative awards which were awarded to several prominent Ghanaians have been proven to be a hoax.
The award scheme by the name ‘Global Blueprint Excellence Award’ was organised on August 28, 2020, in Accra at the Alisa Hotel and in attendance were various personalities and celebrities.
Through investigations by fans of Sarkodie on the issue, after reacting to a post by Sarkodie on his official social media account with Johnny Hughes, Berla Mundi, D-Black, and many others receiving the awards.

Kwame Owusu Fordjour
It was revealed that Dr. Kwame Owusu Fordjour thought up the whole award scheme and by his own means and understanding awarded Ghanaian personalities he believed deserved the awards.
The advert which he used to publicize the award ceremony was posted on YouTube on September 5th, 2018.
The Global Blueprint Excellence Award is in no way related to the United Nations nor Kofi Annan.

- Christian Adu Poku,
- Frederick Acheampong,
- S. K. Boafo,
- John Boadu
- Professor Ebenezer Oduro,
- Johnny Hughes,
- Berla Mundi,
- Daughters of Glorious Jesus,
- Cynthia Akwele Lamptey,
- Madam Eleanor Effe Amanor,
- Sammy Heywood Okine,
- Gloria Nak Commodore Snr.
However, in an interview with JoyNews on Friday, Dr. Kwame Owusu Fordjour assured Ghanaians that the award was credible as he was an advocate development and excellent leadership.
He expressed his shock that there were reports of the awards being fake and urged all who had an issue with the award to contact his institution.
