Skyy Media Group will on Monday, March 6, 2023, hold their annual blood donation program at the forecourt of the Takoradi Mall after the event was launched at Skyy Power FM’s studios today.
This program was necessitated some 20 years ago with the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital when the Maternal Mortality rate in the Western Region was at an all-time high.
Skyy Newsroom researched the problem which turned out to be the non-availability of blood, hence the institution of the Skyy Annual Blood Donation campaign.
Not only the maternal mortality rate was considered during the progression of the program, but all health issues in the region where blood transfusion was necessary.
This year’s donation is targeted to fill the Effia-Nkwanta Blood bank and other health facilities in the region.
The program will be organised on Monday, March 6, from 7:00 am to 4 pm and each and everyone is cordially invited to partake in the program.
