STMA has not given any permit Bimbisala

The Sub-Metro Director for the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, Nana Asempaneye Yeboah has disclosed that the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) has not issued any transport operating permit to Bimbisala Transport operated by Emmanuel Sackey to return to the Metro Mass Transit (MMT) terminal in Takoradi close to the Takoradi-Accra Station.

Speaking exclusively on the Jolly Breakfast Show (JBS) this morning, Nana Asempaneye Yeboah mentioned that a permit was given to Jeoun transport, one of the four transport unions that moved to Apremdo in 2017 to decongest the metropolis.

According to him though the Assembly has granted them an operational permit to come back to Takoradi their permit can equally be revoked if they misbehave and fail to conform to the laid down rules and regulations.

He said, “The bus operators who came back from Apremdo to Takoradi did not just come but through a process, and if any other operator wants to come back it must be through the process.”

“The STMA has given a permit to VIP Jeoun to operate at the same place the Metro Mass is operating but the STMA has not given a permit to Bimbisala, I have documents to prove that.”
