The Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, Mr John Laste says the Assembly will engage in more consultation to help elect a presiding member for STMA’s 9th Assembly.
This comes after the assembly members could not elect a presiding member for the 9th assembly after its inauguration.
Speaking on Skyy Power FM’s Jolly Breakfast Show, Mr Laste said, “We had to reschedule the elections due to some uncertain situations. The coordinator will reconvey the meeting where we will vote for a presiding member.”
“It was a bit disappointing we could not elect a presiding member but I believe going forward we will engage the assembly members more, to elect an assembly member so the assembly can continue its work.”
