Stop dreaming about fighting corruption and asking for accountability, wait till 2024 election, Franklin Cudjoe

The Founder and President of IMANI has urged Ghanaians and the members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) especially, to go about their normal duties until the 2024 elections and stop dreaming of fighting corruption and asking for accountability in the country.

Mr Cudjeo comments comes at the back of Supreme Court decision to upheld the Electoral Commissioner’s elect not to testify in the ongoing 2020 election petition.

The EC Lawyers of the EC on Monday, February 8, moved for the closure of the election petition filed by the 2020 flag bearer of the National Democratic (NDC), John Dramani Mahama to among other things declare as null and void, election results announced by the EC chair on December 9, 2020.
According to EC’s lawyer, Justice Amenuvor, given the petitioner’s witnesses evidence during the cross examination, the 1st Respondents do not wish to lead any further evidence.
The decision by the respondent not to call their witnesses bring a close to the election petition, leaving the lawyers to file their closing statement and subsequent ruling by the court which the court upheld today, Thursday, February 11, 2021.
