Tarkwa MCE entreats BECE candidates to desist from examination malpractice – Skyy Power FM

The Municipal Chief Executive of the Tarkwa Nsuem Municipality of the Western Region is advising Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in his area to desist from examination malpractices.

Speaking to students in his municipality, Mr Benjamin Kessie said there has never been a case of examination malpractice in the history of the municipality and is entreating them to maintain this record.

Four thousand four hundred and thirty-four (4434) candidates are writing the BECE in the Tarkwa Nsuem Municipality comprising two thousand two hundred twenty-five (2225) males and two thousand and twenty-nine (2029) females.

The MCE in his message wished them well and ensured them their second-cycle education is guaranteed through the free SHS policy.

“There has never been a situation where a candidate from this municipality has been punished for examination malpractice, so I will urge you to maintain this record for me.”

“Write what you can do best and be assured that your Senior High School education is guaranteed through the Free SHS policy.”

He also advised the invigilators to not intimidate the candidates and handle every situation with caution.

He said, “To my invigilators, please don’t intimidate the students for me, handle every situation with care, the students are somehow nervous and with this, we can handle every situation differently.”

A total of six hundred thousand seven hundred and fourteen (600,714) candidates sit for the exams across the country.

Forty-three thousand and fifty-one (43,051) students are writing the exams in the Western Region.

Out of this number, twenty-one thousand six hundred and seventy-one (21,671) are males whiles twenty-one thousand three hundred and eighty (21,380) are females.
