Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly has handed over about 500 pieces of furniture to the education directorate to be distributed to schools in the municipality.
Making the presentation, the MCE Mr Benjamin Kessie tasked school heads to practice a maintenance culture to ensure that the furniture lasts for a long time.
He was also optimistic that with the provision of the furniture to the various schools teaching and learning will be enhanced in the municipality.
The Deputy Municipal Education Director, Mr. William Boss Baiden, promised that teachers with the support of the directorate would work hard to improve teaching and learning outcomes in the municipality.
He also used the opportunity to entreat the media to verify stories from the educational directorate before rushing to publish educational stories.
