There is a need for attitudinal change that encourages development – FGR Boss – Skyy Power FM

The Head of the Department for Stakeholder Communication and Community Engagement at Future Global Resources Ltd in Bogoso says there is a need to draw attention and standards to the attitude of people if it is not encouraging development.

Mr Robert Gyamfi speaking to Skyy News said everything can be learnt and moulded so if there is a belief that there is an attitudinal problem, identifying the source and working on it will definitely lead to the overcoming of such a problem.

He made this statement when it was discussed at the Western Regional Development Forum organised by the Nana Kobina Nketsia IV Trust that one of the problems dragging development in the Western Region is the attitude of the people.

“If we believe that our attitude is on the sloppy side, we have to identify what attitudes are not working so we will all condemn it. When we reset what is acceptable and not acceptable, we will be able to overcome this challenge of attitude.”

Mr Robert Gyamfi said if the leadership of the Western Region can implement just 2% of ideas suggested at the Western Region Development, there will be a massive change in the region.

“My expectation out of this forum is that it shouldn’t end here, looking at the ideas that have been thrown on the table and if we are able to implement just 2% of the ideas, we will make a change.”

“There must be another team that will put the ideas to action and give account twice a year so that they know their job, they must be accountable.”
