We are working hard to get Nhyirba Kojo released soon – Lawyer – Skyy Power FM

The lawyer for Nhyirba Kojo, Lawyer Philip Fiifi Buckman says he is working very hard to get his client released from jail as soon as possible.

This comes after Nhyiraba Kojo, a renowned Hip Life Musician and owner of the NK City Nightclub in Fijai-Takoradi was convicted to 30 days in prison for contempt in a complaint filed by three Fijai neighbours over noise from his nightclub.

Following Nhyiraba Kojo’s failure to comply with the court’s interlocutory injunction order to stop the noise at the nightclub, ensure soundproof installation at the NK City Nightclub, and submit a report to the court, the court sentenced him to imprisonment.

Lawyer Buckman speaking to Skyy News said Nhyiraba Kwadwo has taken the necessary steps to meet the demands of the court by reducing the noise pollution, however, they are yet to get any credible institution to measure the noise level and give a report that will be presented to the court.

He said, “Indeed he did all that the court ordered him to do, if you pass in front of the club right now, he has removed all the speakers and improved the soundproof system.”

He said for this reason, the court has sentenced his client to 30 days imprisonment for failure to present the report to the court.

Lawyer Buckman said he is working very hard to get his client released from jail and he will not spend the full 30 days in prison.
