Works to begin on abandoned Kojokrom clinic soon

Mr Abdul Issah Mumin, the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) for Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) says the abandoned Kojokrom clinic will be given to another Contractor to be completed

Following the issues raised by some citizens concerning the abandoned project which has been consumed by weeds, the MCE was interviewed on Skyy Power 93.5FM’s Jolly Breakfast Show.

Speaking on the show, Mr Mumin said “ When my attention was drawn to this abandoned clinic project, I took a step to visit the place, upon seeing it, I realized it is a project that has been abandoned for several years now and we can’t keep a blind eye to that, we can’t leave a Government project in the woods.

We have to continue the project for residents of Kojokrom to benefit from it”.

“This project is a Common Fund project and much funds were not allocated to it but some monies have been put aside to continue this project and complete it.”

“Firstly, I assigned some people to weed around it which I will personally go and check its state now and my technical team made up of quantity surveyor and engineers have also gone to do some measurements and checks to know the new estimate for the project.”

“We are also in the process of re awarding this project to another contractor because the previous contractor abandoned the project due to some payment issues so that contract has been terminated.”
