The Director of Communications of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Sammy Gyamfi has advised the former Deputy Minister of Health, Dr Oko Boye not to use his credibility to defend people who are bent on draining off the country during procurement process.
According to him, Mr Oko Boye defended the $150 charged for the COVID-19 test at the country’s Airport and that had not ended well hence the need for him to desist from such.
Mr Gyamfi advice the former Member of Parliament for the Ledzokuku Krowor Constituency, on Metro Tv’s morning current affairs programme, Good Morning Ghana on Thursday, March 18, monitored by GhanaPlus.com.
“And I am advising you that don’t defend this one, the 150 PCR tests you defended it and it has not ended well. Don’t use your credibility, when people go and do their procurement gigs, siphoned money, milk this country dry, don’t come and use your reputation as a young Medical Dr and Public Health expert to defend this too.
The NDC communicator was speaking about the government $10 each cost budgeted to purchase COVID-19 vaccines for the country.
His comment comes when Dr Oko Boye quizzed if the $10 was whooping as described by Mr Gyamfi.
Sammy Gyamfi as affectionately called questioned why Ghana was paying $10 when according to him, other African countries and even European Union countries were paying less for same.
