Drop the excessive pride and speak to the NDC’s Constitution – Koku Anyidoho

The Chief Executive Officer of the Atta-Mills Institute and suspended member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has once again called on the Chairman of the party, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo to respectfully step down if he is scared to carry on with the dictate of the NDC’s Constitution.

According to him, the party’s constitution was very clear on who leads the party at this moment when the party was yet to elect another flag bearer and urged people to drop the excessive pride and self confidence and speak to the party’s constitution.

“Very relevant portion of the NDCs constitution: facts are facts! People should drop the hubris and speak to the NDCs constitution. If Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo is scared of upholding the NDCs constitution; he can respectfully step aside”.

Mr Koku Anyidoho made the comment while sharing chapter 5 of the party’s constitution which was titled “National Officers” on twitter on Thursday, March 18, sighted by GhanaPlus.com.

“The President of the Republic who is a member of the party is the leader of the party when it is in government”.

“Where a sitting President is not elected flag bearer, a person elected as flag bearer at any time before the elections is the leader of the party.

“At any other time, the Chairman of the Party is the leader,” article 25 (2)(3) and (4) of the NDC’s constitution Mr Anyidoho shared reads.

The ardent supporter and one time Deputy General Secretary of the party said the truth shall always prevail over lies .

“Truth shall ALWAYS triumph over lies!!!”.
