Vida Essel-LampteyThe Deputy National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Mr Edem Agbana has said that it will be in the interest of the country to prevent the Presidents’ ministerial appointees, Mr Godfred Dame and Ken Ofori -Atta from becoming ministers.
Mr Odame, a Former Deputy Attorney-General was nominated by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa-Akufo-Addo to serve as the substantive minister of the ministry he deputized in the President first term in office.
Mr Ofori- Atta, also a former Finance Minister in the same administration had been given the node by the President to hold the position again in his second term.
Mr Dame is currently being vetted by the Vetting Committee of Parliament.
Sharing his opinion on twitter on Friday, February 12, Mr Agbana said the two had dishonest characters and must not be allowed to be in charge of any public institutions.
“It is in the National Interest to prevent Godfred Dame and Ken Ofori -Atta from becoming Ministers” his tweet reads..
“Such Dishonest characters MUST NOT be put in charge of any public institution,” Edem Agbana added.
