‘Joe Ghartey Deserves To Lead NPP, Vote For Him’
A farmer in Ejura Sekyeredumase in the Ashanti Region, Opanyin Kwame Anthony Adjei, has called on delegates of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to elect former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Joe Ghartey, as flagbearer of the party.
According to him, Hon. Ghartey deserves to lead the NPP as flagbearer and Ghana as President.
Hon. Ghartey who is on his nationwide “Walking and Talking Tour” was commended by Opanyin Kwame Anthony. This was after Hon. Ghartey’s team
while driving along a bush track stopped to ask a group of farmers who were on the way to their farm for directions.
Opanyin Anthony could not hide his joy when he asked “isn’t that Joe Ghartey” and he got a positive response. He exclaimed “you used to wear your glasses at the tip of your nose when you were Attorney-General President Kufour’s era.” He praised Hon. Ghartey for all the work he had done as Attorney-General and Minister for Railway Development. He said that Hon. Ghartey had served NPP and the country well and so NPP delegates should vote for him.
Opanyin Adjei said Hon. Ghartey was also from resource rich Western Region who had never had a Presidential Candidate under NPP or in the Fourth Republic. He concluded emphatically that “this is Joe Ghartey’s time.”
