A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s Communication Team, Dr Francis Kyei has admonish Parliament to return more responsible and of good behavior.

He also admonished the house to be more discipline and result oriented when its resumes it sitting on Tuesday, January 25.

Dr Kyei made the admonishment on Good Morning Africa on Pan African TV on Monday, January 24, monitored by GhanaPlus.com.

“The return of parliament, I will say that Parliament must return more responsible, more robust, result oriented and they should have the sentiment of Ghana at heart and very discipline this is the first thing I want to say”.

“And then the next thing is that I don’t want to see that parliament has gone into for want of a very decent words, undesirable misbehavior anymore because if I had to push harder I would have use a stronger word but for fact that they have gone on recess and might have been refreshed, I will say that they shouldn’t come out with any undesirable behavior for us to see them as a responsible institution,” Dr Kyei said.

What do you want younger ones to do if you do that – Dr Kyei asks Parliament

Dr Kyei lamented the behavior exhibited by the Members of Parliament last year leaves much to be desired and question what message they were sending across to the younger folks out there.

“If you who are the law makers and you misbehave in such a way, what are you telling the younger ones,” he said.

Ghana Parliament in 2021

Ghana’s Parliament  throughout the year 2021, made a spectacle of itself to the dismay of many home and abroad engaging in series of physical fight among themselves.

The first of the chaotic scenes was witness on the night of the election of the Speaker of Parliament prior to the swearing of then President elect,Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The subsequent ones were witnessed in November and December last year, following the introduction of government proposed electronic levy transaction.
