"Take Nigeria out and say Ghana jagajaga, everything scatter, scatter" – Amaliba

The Director of the Legal Affairs of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Mr Abraham Amaliba has said Ghana’s current situation best fit popular Nigeria song, Nigeria jagajaga, everything scatter scatter.

He has therefore, urged Ghanaians to take away the name of its West African neighbours from the Eedris Abdulkareem’s song and put Ghana instead.

Mr Amaliba made the comment on TV3 NewDay on Friday, September 2, monitored by GhanaPlus.com.

“What can be good, In the midst of these challenges, these harsh economic challenges how can one celebrate and as if that is not enough, we were hit by cement prices, am told now is ₵73 and you have a president who is not apologetic and he is saying that we are lucky to have him. Can you imagine? This country is a joke,” he said.

“This is a president who virtually went on his knees to beg us, now he is saying it to our faces. Having messed up the economy he is saying it to our faces that we are lucky to have him. We are lucky because fuels prices have gone up, we are lucky because cement is ₵73, What a President, What a President,” Mr Amaliba said.

“You know Rask Kimono.. Take away Nigeria, take Nigeria out and say Ghana jagajaga, everything scatter, scatter that is the situation we find yourself,” the NDC stalwart, Abraham Amaliba said.

Mr Amaliba was reacting to the you are lucky to have me as the President of Ghana statement made by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo while addressing chiefs and people of Yapei-Kusawgu District in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region.

The President said “…….What this tells me is that the 8 elections conducted in Ghana since 1992 have always gone to the National Democratic Congress and yet when I come here, I hear all of these demands.

The young man who for a long time was Deputy Minister of power, 17 communities in his district still has not been connected to electricity grid.

“But Yagbonwura, you are lucky; you have me as the President of Ghana. I’m going to do it for you”.
