UDS: I humbly solicit your support as we head toward SRC/NUG’s election.

It caught the attention of the 2023/2024 academic year to choose student leaders to spearhead the activities of students in every tertiary institution across the nation.

Leadership requires excellent innovators to keep all students informed on the current issues and status of the academic happening which will go a long way to support students to be creative daily.

Leadership is required in every sphere of life. Good leadership is the door to success. In contrast, bad leadership is a guarantee of failure. Consequently, good leaders are what make the world go round.

Good decision-making is paramount in leadership. Above all, if a leader makes poor decisions then other qualities will not matter. Furthermore, good decision-making ensures the success of the entire group. If the leader makes poor decisions, then the efforts of followers won’t matter.

The qualities above represent a student from University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale, Mohammed Rahinatu studying Social Science who has excelled in her previous leadership positions and intended to aspire to Women Commissioner (WOCOM) to strengthen the university efforts.

Currently, she is the financial secretary of Peculiar Women of Substance, a women’s focus non-profit making organization based in the northern region.

In her quest to serve the Almighty and humanity she was a financial secretary of the Ghana Muslims Students Association, Saint Francis Girls of Assisi Senior High School branch in the 2017/2018 academic year, she again served as CAMFED Organizer of their drama club.

She has good experience in negotiating to make a good decision to favor the people she served, with this much experience she served as health prefect at Presbyterian Primary School in the 2011/2012 academic year and as Compound prefect at Our Home International School to oversee the serenity of the school in the 2014/2015 academic year.

Her interest come to serve the good students of UDS to make life easier for every student in academics and normal life.
