Bookings for December concerts aren’t fair to female artistes
Akosua Kwakye popularly known as AK Songstress in the showbiz industry has said bookings for December in Ghana concerts are unfair.
She told Amansan Krakye in an interview on Cape Coast-based Property FM that most of the concerts are not fairly represented by female artistes.
She said as monitored by MyNewsGh.com “In terms of the bookings for shows especially this December in Ghana is not a fair representation for the females in the music scene.
“But if you have to face facts too just like you said the males outnumber us in the showbiz industry so in everything those who are many always dominate.
AK Songstress added “We’re trying our best and we’re not many in the game so I think the organizers also have certain things they consider before booking artistes for their events.
“Maybe in terms of female artists they think it’s only one that they can book on a show but it’s unfortunate that most of the shows are male dominated”.
