Flowking Stone reveals why ‘Fante kenkey’ is one of the world’s biggest packaging fraud
Multiple award-winning artiste, Flowking Stone born Kwaku Nsiah-Boamah has revealed that one of the world’s biggest packaging fraud is the Cape Coast ‘Fante kenkey’.
“This Cape Coast issue needs to be discussed. I’m told one of the biggest frauds in the world is the Fante kenkey,” Flowking said.
The ‘Go Low’ hitmaker in an exclusive interview with Amansan Krakye complained about how the ‘Fante kenkey’ is packaged to look big but looks small in size after removing the plantain leaves.
He explained “Because the Fante kenkey looks very big but by the time you finish removing the plantain leaves it will be left with something small inside.
“This is something we need to discuss someday because the packaging is one of the world’s biggest fraud,” he added.
Fante kenkey is the indigenous food of the people of Central Region in Ghana. They are made of corn and wrapped into balls and cooked in dry plantain leaves.
