Ghanaian artistes can’t compete with their Nigerian colleagues
Musician and producer, Fox Beat has revealed why it is impossible for Ghanaian artistes to compete with their Nigerian colleagues on the global stage.
He remarked “Most of the Ghanaian artistes have established their own record labels so it’s difficult to compete with Nigerian artistes that have been signed by the likes of Sony Music.
“An artiste that is being managed by Sony Music and another artiste in Ghana who has established their own record labels will be impossible for them to compete.
“Because Sony Music has got a lot of plugs and your efforts alone cannot make you get such plugs as an independent artiste with your own record label,” he said as MyNewsGh.com monitored.
During an interview with Amansan Krakye, the singer said Ghanaian mainstream artistes must allow themselves to be signed on international record labels.
He continued “It’s about time that our mainstream artistes allow themselves to be signed by the big record labels so that they can also occupy that can kind of range.
“So that it can lift our Ghanaian music industry to get forward like what the Nigerian artistes are currently doing across Europe and America”.
