I failed on 4 occasions to be part of the MTN Hitmaker reality show
Fast-emerging artiste, Mawuly Musiq has revealed that he went for auditions of the MTN Hitmaker a number of times before getting into the main competition.
Mawuly Musiq who is known in real life as Joseph Kwao was a semi-finalist in the MTN Hitmaker Season 8, revealed that he failed on four occasions but never lost hope.
“I’ve tried like four times to be part of the MTN Hitmaker and the fifth time it went through so throughout the journey it wasn’t easy,” he said in an interview with Amansan Krakye.
“I’m actually a semifinalist and from there shout out to MTN they’ve done so well and from there the gigs started coming,” he revealed on the Kastle Entertainment Show.
Speaking about his quest to keep on going for auditions despite not being chosen on previous episodes, Mawuly Musiq disclosed that he didn’t give up despite failing on four occasions.
“If you know what you want, you don’t give up on it so it doesn’t mean if you’ve tried once or twice and it didn’t work you should give up so keep pushing and you’ll get what you want,” he ended on Cape Coast’s Kastle FM.
