Minister’s funeral tourism policy initiative lacks foresight
Ghanaian music group, Keche has said the Tourism Minister’s funeral policy initiative lacks deep thinking and foresight.
Keche told Amansan Krakye that claiming funerals could boost tourism is very wrong, especially when people are mourning.
“I don’t know what he was thinking before he said that, but I think that with the way people have spoken about his funeral tourism initiative, he will have a rethink.
“Maybe upon a careful second thought he would realize that he could have said it in a different way so I don’t support him in any way,” they said on Property FM.
Keche revealed that instead of using funerals to boost tourism, the minister should rather concentrate on festivals and traditional marriages.
“We have festivals in Ghana like we do have festivals in the world and ours is more of traditional activities where a lot of things do happen.
“Even our traditional marriage is capable of being used to move the tourism industry forward so how can the minister limit this to death,” he ended as monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
