Play Ghana doesn’t mean DJs should be unfair with songs from other Africans
Prince Bright, a prolific Ghanaian musician and member of a defunct music group, Buk Bak, has said the Play Ghana initiative must be fair to songs from other African countries.
“All we are saying is that it’s okay for the DJs to play songs of our neighbors a bit and play that of ours also a bit which will help to grow Ghana and Africa.
“So I’m not disturbed at all but all I ask for is that we should play fair for all of us including those from other countries to also get their bit,” he told Amansan Krakye on Property Fm.
Prince Bright clarified in the interview that DJs always support him because of the mutual respect he has with them.
He disclosed on the show “I always give due diligence to our DJs and they also respect me so there’s no way they’ll turn their back on me when I need help from them.
“I believe that we’ve been doing this work all these years with the help of our DJs and you always hold us down whenever we drop a song”.
