#playghana not an order but an appeal
Dancehall Artiste, Samini has clarified what the #playGhana campaign is about.
Ghanaian artistes and people in the creative space are on a campaign to get Ghanaian music priority in the media space and at event grounds, especially this festive season.
However, their campaign has been misconstrued by many, who think they are calling for a total ban on foreign music in Ghana.
Reacting to concerns being raised, Samini indicated that “I support #playghana agenda in the attempt to sell Ghana with the slightest opportunity with tourism”.
He added, “It’s an appeal and not an order, please.”
