Reading negative comments on your social media is a recipe for committing suicide
UK-based Afrobeats singer, Drumz known privately as Frank Elinam Cobbinah has revealed that he doesn’t read comments on his social media posts to avoid getting sad and not committing suicide.
“I don’t read comments on my post on social media because when you decide to do that you might even end up killing yourself,” he said in an interview with Amansan Krakye.
He added on Kastle FM in Cape Coast “So I don’t read that’s how I stay out of it but sometimes people should be a little bit sensitive because we those in the creative space do also have wife and kids.
“When they read such posts on Facebook like someone wrote that I’m one of the poorest artistes and when I saw that I became sad because you don’t know the amount in my bank account and you’re saying I’m poor,” he stated.
Speaking on the Kastle Entertainment Show, Drumz formerly known as Atumpan said people should be a bit sensitive about the kind of comments they put under the posts of those who are in the creative arts industry.
He concluded “So sometimes people should be little sensitive towards us but it’s part of the game and in Ghana if you don’t mind your words your name will be dragged into the mud”.
